Gluten Free Turkey

To make gluten free gravy, you need 2 cups of gluten free chicken stock, 2 tablespoons of cornstarch powder or arrowroot powder, 1 teaspoon of kosher salt, 1 teaspoon of poultry seasoning, 2 medium white yellow onions, 2 tablespoons of unsalted butter, 2 tablespoons of heavy cream and giblets from the gluten free turkey that has been cooked and finely diced.

You begin the preparation by mixing the chicken stock with cornstarch or arrowroot powder. You keep this mixture aside and move on onions that are to be cooked with butter on the skillet. Cook the onions till they have caramelized. Pour in the remaining chicken stock salt pepper and poultry seasoning. Get the temperature up and bring the mixture to a mild boil. Now is the perfect time for you to add the cornstarch mixture and bring the gravy base to a boil. The boiling should continue till the mixture has thickened. Add cream and giblets to the thick mixture and finish off with a pinch of salt and pepper.

The white sauce is another important component of the Thanksgiving turkey special dinner. Making a white sauce or béchamel sauce gluten free should not be a very difficult task. The gluten free white sauce can be used as a base for things such as creamed spinach.
